You will be assigned a WordPress Web Site #. In Chrome go to: http://student#.carolynolson.info
1.To log into the website go to the dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the url address. It should read
http://student#.carolynolson.info/wp-admin

2. This is your website. Assignments will be uploaded for grading from this site. Take care of your site and always update as needed
3. Follow instructions customize your web site. Go to the dashboard> Appearance>Customize>Site Identity, Site title should be your first and last name. Tagline is “Digital Art”.
Customize>Header Media, add a new image – one of the images you created in Processing.
Delete all Widgets and Menus leaving only “Recent Posts”, “Pages”, “Archive”
In “Homepage Setting” select “latest posts”
4. Create a new “Post” (for each assignment). Each post may need a table to hold your images.
Single images or tables (with multiple images) are to be found at the top of each “post”. Create tables by selecting the “+” at the top left of this screen>Formatting>Tables. Once images are loaded into the cell of the table – each one needs to be centered/balanced on page. Add captions.
Images need to large and as high resolution as possible. @500 pixels wide x ____ Look at preview to see if it works or not. Make adjustments as needed.
5 Hyperlinked Artist Statement Each uploaded assignment needs a descriptive statement – Artist Statement. In Word write a paragraph about your assignment. What did you intend the viewer to see? What do you intend the images to tell about you – other than the obvious? Why did you choose to place the images in the order you did? What was important to show? What did you learn while completing this assignment?
Hyperlink the title of your Photo Essay to your Artist Statement (Word.doc) to your web page.
