Creating images that “move” is done through careful placement of lines that connect mathematically.
In your sketchbook with 2B pencil create a 7″ square. Draw six lines from top to bottom, fairly straight but at an angle. They can’t cross each other.
Complete each “wedge with alternating curved lines. Lines need to connect across horizontally.
Using colored pencils complete each wedge in analogous or complimentary color.
Finish by outlining with Ebony pencil and blender stick (or black Sharpie). Continue to add more color pencil on top to create vibrant image.
