Frank Theatre at South Ridge School – MSAB Arts Learning grant

South Ridge School received a Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) grant providing three 6-week artist residencies with Minneapolis based Frank Theatre. Guest artists Wendy Knox and Emily Zimmer will work with students in storytelling workshops. Students will write original stories, participate in theatre games/activist and perform their new work on stage.

Residency dates: Fall: November 1-December 21/public performance at South Ridge School Forum, December 21st at 5 PM

Spring: March 14 – May 3rd/public performance at South Ridge School on May 3rd

Grading Rubric:

1. Participation in class activities including: creation of original writing , collaborative  storytelling, theatre games

2. Participation in performance based on MN graduation standards.

This program is made possible through Legacy Amendment Funding, Minnesota State Arts Board, National Endowment for the Arts, American Indian Student Services, Northland Learning Center and the Northland Foundation.
