Redraw eight dried leaves (provided) as accurately as possible using only contour lines and a bit of shading – one/page. Each leaf should be draw roughly “as large as your hand”.
With colored pencils, add analogous colors, mixing the pencils to recreate the leaf. Add a small geometric shape behind to finish off the composition in a aesthetically pleasing way.
Research you leaf. Include the scientific and common name of the tree it comes from, with 3 sentences about the tree – it’s habitat, any fruit or flowers, nuts or seeds that grow on it, and environmental concerns. The goal is for each sheet to be a “informative poster” for that leaf species.
