Draw an image based on images supplied that shows a foreground, middle ground and background on the paper provided. This will allow you to transfer your art directly on to the metal once completed with the drawing. Try to clarify through shading and adjusting the elements in the drawing (edit out confusing areas) and make it you own idea.
Re-draw (trace your art) on to the metal provided. Observe the demonstration of “tooling” the metal using a stack of newspapers (or other stack of soft papers) to create a cushion to “push and pull” the metal gently into a relief. Use the burnishing tool – even slow steady work will not create lines in the metal.
