Using discarded library books create a three plus layered image illustrating a poem, short essay or song lyrics, pre-approved by your instructor. Submit to your instructor before beginning the art.
Choose a book to create final art. Before any alteration to the sketch out your ideas and talk with your instructor about your plans. Images can be made with paint, ink, pre-printed images (collage), colored pencils, and/or markers.
Your image needs to have three or more layers – a foreground, a middle ground and a background. Words and images in the book do not have to be incorporated into the final art.
